Ann Mei is the author of the recently launched book Lean Impact: How to Innovate Radically Greater Social Good describing processes that help to achieve transformative results. There is wide acknowledgment that we will not achieve the Sustainable Development Goals with business as usual. Yet, it often remains nebulous how to innovate in the development sector. Ann Mei will present proven practices from Silicon Valley’s ‘lean impact’ approaches and show how we can bend the curve of progress by running lightweight experiments, driving fast feedback loops, and accelerating learning. Her work and case studies showcase how this helps to better address real needs, improve cost effectiveness, and unleash the possibility of true scale. Through inspiring stories she collected from 200 organizations across sectors and geographies, Ann Mei will share both the theory and the practice behind successful social innovation.
