A Data Science Africa 2018 seminar will be hosted on 12th-16th November in Nigeria. This is the second event organized in 2018 after the first took place in Kenya. The event will include workshops and presentations by data experts, legal and privacy specialists and public sector specialists. It will be preceded by a three-day school on machine learning and data science where participants can learn and interact with presenters.
Lectures will be given by distinguished researchers and practitioners including researchers from Sheffield University, Amazon, Swansea University Medical School, Facebook, Google, Pulse Lab Kampala, the AI and Data Science (AIR) lab-Makerere University, ARM and Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DeKUT), African University of Science and Technology (AUST) among others.
Pulse Lab Kampala has been one of the event's organizers since 2013.
