UNICEF will hold a special focus session on innovation during the UNICEF Executive Board to highlight and discuss the rapidly growing opportunities as well as the challenges technology can bring to benefit children’s lives and its broader impact on the world.
In our commitment to be ready for tomorrow, UNICEF wants to invite our UN colleagues to join us at the Special Session on Innovation for Children and Young People on September 12 from 3:00pm - 5:00pm EST (live telecast will also be available via UNTV).
Through a moderated discussion on frontier technology, UNICEF's Board will engage and interact with our invited guest speakers: Hannah Godefa, Education Advocate and Student, Duke University (Moderator); Nicholas Thompson, Editor-in-Chief, Wired (panelist); and Stephanie Sy, Founder, CEO and Data Scientist, Thinking Machines (panelist) – enabling the members of the Board of UNICEF and the guest speakers to provide insights on how to apply innovative and practical ways towards the achievement of UNICEF’s mission.
Please do RSVP.
