How to Build Innovation Partnerships

Together with the UN Data Strategy Community, UNIN hosted the UN Global Pulse Partnership team for an introductory session on Partnering for Innovation. Speakers elaborated on the special link between innovation and partnerships, discussed what a "partnership" really is, and shared a framework to work with as teams build out future partnerships. The presenters highlighted 3 tips for partnership building: \- Nominate a Partnership Broker: to ensure attention is paid to the partnership process, not just the project development and implementation. \- Early Conversations: give yourself and partner/s time to explore and discuss your intentions in this early stage. \- Partnership Agreements Fit for Purpose: Agree on partnership principles with your partners; build indicators from the outset that you can assess your partnerships against.
