The Crisis Insights Team

In the turbulent context of COVID-19, Global Pulse was asked by the Secretary-General to run an experiment and create new insights into crises by pulling together teams from across the UN to feed decision making. This new Crisis Insights team (CIT) was tasked to support UN inter-agency work on advanced analytics and artificial intelligence for crisis response. Setting up the CIT stress tested a lot, including some of Global Pulse's own assumptions about how it operates and who/how it serves the UN System. This webinar reflects on what has worked and what has not, what the team learnt, and what this means for the future.
