As it continues to evolve, what are implications of generative AI for us, how can we use it to empower ourselves, and what knowledge and skillsets are needed to address its challenges? To enhance people’s critical thinking and awareness of these issues, the United Nations University Institute in Macau (UNU Macau) hosted to provide an open platform for the public, researchers, media practitioners, and relevant stakeholders to exchange ideas and engage in insightful discussions.

The Data Governance Toolkit: Navigating Data in the Digital Age, provides practical guidance for policymakers navigating data regulation, cross-border flows, and responsible data use in the era of AI and emerging technologies.

The event explored how innovation is understood in five UN entities, as well as what processes they use to foster innovation internally.
