Pulse Lab Jakarta
Global Pulse established a Pulse Lab in Jakarta in 2013 in partnership with the Government of Indonesia. Pulse Lab Jakarta functions as an open innovation space where policy experts together with development practitioners and partners experiment with new types of data and emerging technologies and evaluate their potential to enhance both public policy decision-making and community resilience.
Pulse Lab Jakarta is now seeking a new Head of Office. The ideal candidate will be a supportive manager to a highly capable team, a creative thinker, an enabler of innovation and a multi-tasker. The role is diverse and can go from liaising with government officials at the highest level, to negotiating data partnerships to connecting data science to development planning. The Head of Office will work closely with all stakeholders, including Government, national institutions, UN partners, donors, civil society, academia, private sector etc, to successfully drive the overall success of Pulse Lab Jakarta. The position also entails interface with coordination forums like the UN Country Team as well as regularly briefing UN and Government focal points on the project.
This is the ideal role for a curious team player, who believes in advanced data analytics and human centred design approaches and understands how the public sector works. This position will also be responsible for ensuring the sustainability of the lab, identifying best routes to sustainability and reporting on a regular basis to the Steering Committee.
