Research Assistant - EQUALS Project

The EQUALS research project explores the gendered dimensions of the digital age and seeks new impactful ways to use data, theory, and practice to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment. It seeks to generate knowledge on the state of gender digital equality, from issues of access and effective use of ICTs to the impacts of institutionalised forms of gender discrimination such as unequal educational opportunities, wages, and leadership gaps. Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the hosting Principal Research Fellow, the successful candidate shall be entrusted with the following tasks:

  • work within the EQUALS research project and contribute to achieving the project goals

  • engage in research on specific areas identified and agreed upon with the project leader

  • contribute to producing publications and communications materials based on the research work undertaken while at UNU-CS

  • carry out administrative and coordination tasks as directed by the project leader

  • contribute to the life of the institution and participate in events and activities such as seminars, presentations, or meetings

  • reside full-time in Macau for the duration of the contract

  • perform any other tasks as may be assigned by the Director
