Digital Sexuality Education (Consultancy & Community Building)

Work Assignment:

  • Building on insights from previous work and engagement with digital groups, explore new developments and momentum of the digital sexuality education eco-system and edutainment;

  • Establish relationships with groups and actors in the digital sexuality education space, gauge interest for collaboration and areas of common concern, support exchange, networking, and community building;

  • Validate and build out the recommendations from insight reports on digital sexuality education based on discussions with youth, digital groups, and stakeholder;

  • Map the larger eco-system of DSE stakeholders and engage them to bring in their perspectives, their support and opportunities for moving the field forward (e.g. bloggers, vloggers, instagrammers; social media influencers; search engines; academia; youth networks; sex educators; SRH service providers; anime designers; soap scriptwriters; etc.);

  • Investigate areas of common concern for collaboration and support the development of communities of

  • practice (CoP) on various / appropriate platforms around identified topics (e.g. AI chatbots for CSE-SRH and the challenges of safeguarding, content quality assurance, analytics and impact metrics);

  • Explore the opportunity/feasibility of employing blockchain for the use-case of community-based certification (‘trusted source’ badge) to help children differentiate evidence-based information from misinformation and to enable search optimization for trustworthy content;

  • Conceptualize and organize a convening of DSE actors and stakeholder around areas for collaboration in early 2020, to broker new alliances, support emerging initiatives, and co-create solutions to common concerns;

  • Document insights and develop a range of knowledge products on digital CSE for different audience types;

  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
