It also offers practical lessons on how to get started with students and how to develop a game. It is designed to empower teachers with new ways of teaching using digital technologies, and no previous experience with video games or game design is required. The course is built on the pillars of a Gender Transformative Education, and uses the concept of Playing, Learning, Earning, where students are given the opportunity to move from just playing to learning skills and earning a passport to a future career.

This health crisis has revealed the importance of ensuring that everyone can access and utilise digital information provided through digital platforms, which, in such situations, can be vital. The world is facing an unprecedented experience in which Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) are, in certain circumstances, almost the only possibility for people to communicate with one another.

This course seeks to outline AI applications of particular relevance to peace and conflict settings from a gender perspective. Ultimately, it aims to demonstrate how the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda can be leveraged to ensure that AI technologies are deployed in a gender-responsive and conflict-sensitive manner, drawing on observations and experiences from Southeast Asia.
