Inclusive Digital Economies Scorecard - Innovation: FinTech (Nepal)

This session explores the metaverse, the opportunities and risks associated with it, and how it can be used for the work of the UN.

This policy brief presents findings from a randomized controlled trial of a digital learning programme in Mexico. The study involved 85 mathematics teachers across 45 high schools in Mexico City and the State of Mexico, who were randomly assigned to either integrate a digital learning platform into their teaching for one semester or continue with standard practice. The impact of the programme was assessed based on the mathematics performance of more than 2,900 students in their final year of high school. Details of the implementation in schools were investigated through teacher interviews, student focus groups and classroom observations.

The Primer presents key questions alongside additional resources that can guide the evaluation of whether an innovation has the required support for scale, and can also serve as a framework for checking the readiness or ability of an innovation to be taken to the next level.

Mixed reality holds tremendous potential for real-time digital visualisations, both at the street and neighbourhood level and the overall urban skyline and city grid.
