It introduces the Strategy's core components – the pillars, outcomes, enablers, and guiding principles – fostering a holistic understanding of the Strategy. Key concepts such as science, innovation, and technology are defined, highlighting their roles in driving progress. The course presents the Strategy's vision, goal, and scope, emphasizing better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life, leaving no one behind, in support of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Practical application is emphasized, enabling learners to apply the Strategy to real-world scenarios to promote sustainable agrifood systems.

As artificial intelligence (AI) transforms global operations, the UN system and international organizations must equip their personnel with the skills to responsibly understand, apply, and benefit from AI technologies. Developed and operated by the UNICC AI Hub, the AI Academy aims to close the AI literacy gap across UN entities by launching a structured, multi-partner pilot initiative aligned with the UN 2.0 and based on the WFP’s Data and AI Competency Framework.
