This course presents the main principles, concepts, and approaches of the Tropical Agriculture Platform (TAP) Common Framework on Capacity Development for Agricultural Innovation Systems (CDAIS), developed by international experts to strengthen innovation capacities in low- and middle-income countries. Have you ever wished that you could make those decisions just a little bit easier, and just a little bit more effective? If so, you’re not alone — and this course can help get you on the right track. In this course, developed in collaboration with UN colleagues, including the UN Innovation Network (UNIN), you’ll dissect the decision-making process and determine what makes decisions so difficult, what makes some decisions more difficult than others, and what you can do about it. By the end of this course, you will be able to: - Recognise what makes decisions challenging and why it matters - Understand how personality influences decision-making - Identify common behavioural biases and strategies to overcome them - Dissect difficult choices and help others make the right call

During this 8-hour deep dive, you will be introduced to the key techniques, services, and trends that will help you understand foundation models from the ground up. This means breaking down theory, mathematics, and abstract concepts combined with hands-on exercises to gain functional intuition for practical application. Throughout the course, we focus on a wide spectrum of progressively complex generative AI techniques, giving you a strong base to understand, design, and apply your own models for the best performance. We’ll start with recapping foundation models, understanding where they come from, how they work, how they relate to generative AI, and what you can to do customize them. You’ll then learn about picking the right foundation model to suit your use case.
