A fully online, live programme giving professionals a practical, multidisciplinary understanding of how AI is transforming professional environments. It moves from responsible AI governance, from principles to practice, through AI sovereignty and data flows, to the future of work: how AI changes professional tasks and roles, and the skills and organizational readiness needed to adapt. Participants learn to apply responsible and ethical approaches to AI, address AI-related risks and privacy challenges, and identify which professional tasks AI can support or automate. The emphasis is on real-world applications rather than technical development, with interactive discussions, case studies and expert insights. No prior technical knowledge of AI is required. Format: four weekly three-hour live sessions (Fridays, 14:00–17:00 CET), 6–27 November 2026. Registration deadline: 4 November 2026. Fee: USD 800 (limited fee reductions and scholarships for participants from LDCs and SIDS). The course only runs if a minimum number of participants is reached. Participants who meet the requirements receive a digital credential.

AI, Justice, and the Rule of Law

As courts modernise procedures and information systems, AI tools are increasingly introduced to support judicial work, case management, evidence analysis and access to legal information. These technologies can strengthen efficiency, consistency and access to justice. Yet they also raise fundamental questions about fairness, due process, transparency, explainability, and accountability. The course will address the following questions, and many more: - How should judges assess algorithmic outputs presented in court? - What safeguards are needed to prevent bias or over-reliance on automated systems? - How can courts adopt innovation while preserving independence and public trust? Developed in partnership with UNESCO, this course provides a human rights-based framework for understanding AI’s impact on justice systems and safeguarding the rule of law.
