This instructor-led training course, Strategic Foresight 201, is all about helping acceleration centres understand how to plan for the future in a digital world. It focuses on trends in research readiness and is based on the Playbook for Strategic Foresight by the ITU/BDT Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alliance for Digital Development. Equipped with hypothetical case studies, this course is designed to speed up the change to digital technology, encourage new ideas, and support national growth goals.

This course introduces participants to the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) and how they apply to the development and deployment of technology, particularly artificial intelligence (AI). Through expert insights and real-world examples, learners will explore how businesses are integrating Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) into technology operations to mitigate risks and uphold fundamental rights.

Presenting data visually is an effective way of conveying key information, making it an important component of good communication. This module examines how IMOs can turn data into easy-to-interpret information using visualizations. These can be added to information products such as dashboards, presentations, and newsletters to improve the way information is conveyed.

This course will introduce participants to Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) at UNICEF. SBC is defined as a set of processes, approaches, tools, strategies and tactics that promote positive and measurable changes in people’s environments, societies, and behaviours. Working with communities, individuals, and partners, SBC uses social and behavioural evidence and inclusive, participatory approaches to co-design solutions to development and humanitarian challenges. It prioritizes the fulfillment of human rights through systematic analysis of the cognitive, social and structural drivers of change and working with communities to address them.
