Human behaviour is often unpredictable, shaped by various factors like biases and mental shortcuts. How can we further enhance our initiatives to account for this wide range of influences on behaviour? Designed exclusively for UN personnel, our eight-week online 2025 UN System Behavioural Science Springboard Programme identifies tools, techniques, and mindsets from across the system to tailor evidence-based interventions that work with, not against, human behaviour.

This course will introduce participants to Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) at UNICEF. SBC is defined as a set of processes, approaches, tools, strategies and tactics that promote positive and measurable changes in people’s environments, societies, and behaviours. Working with communities, individuals, and partners, SBC uses social and behavioural evidence and inclusive, participatory approaches to co-design solutions to development and humanitarian challenges. It prioritizes the fulfillment of human rights through systematic analysis of the cognitive, social and structural drivers of change and working with communities to address them.

The Global Facilitator Training is an innovative hybrid programme designed to empower facilitators and trainers to operate effectively in international and multicultural contexts. The training begins with a creative Sprint (Day 1) - a collaborative design process where participants co-create the Global Facilitator Profile, defining the skills, values, and mindset that characterize global excellence in facilitation. Building on the outcomes of this creative phase, participants advance into the Facilitator Certification Training (Day 2,3,4) an advanced learning pathway that integrates high-level facilitation skills with a strong emphasis on social justice, development cooperation principles, and emotional intelligence, coaching models, intercultural facilitation and inclusion.

This course is designed for trainers, facilitators, learning specialists, and project leaders who want to enhance their ability to design impactful training that drives real behavioural change. It is also ideal for organisations aiming to multiply the impact of their initiatives by embedding a Training of Trainers (TOT) approach.
