AI-powered robots, and in particular humanoid and semi-humanoid robots, are increasingly recognised as a foundational and emerging technology with the potential to profoundly transform work, learning, and social systems. This course is part of the broader reflection on the nexus between emerging technologies and decent work: using human-machine collaboration as a guiding lens, the course provides a space to learn about the status of humanoid robots today, their opportunities, risks, and ethical dimensions to act fast and responsibly as its impact on the world of work and learning accelerates. Grounded in the UN and ILO human-centred approach to technology, the course invites participants to explore how humanoid and semi-humanoid robots can be harnessed, rather than merely adopted, to support social justice, decent work, and sustainable development.

The course is Intended for policy-makers, decision-makers, innovators and ecosystem builders who wish to build thriving entrepreneurial communities that can navigate technological revolutions and create competitive ICT industries. The course introduces key terminologies, concepts, tools and steps to assess your country's innovation capacity through practical information. Upon completion of the course, you will understand: Innovation, digital ecosystems and digital transformation, and their relationship to national development priorities.

This learning path begins with an introduction to UN 2.0, followed by an exploration of the five cross-cutting competence areas—known as the Quintet of Change. You'll start by building a solid foundation with LinkedIn courses that showcase how these competencies are applied in today’s business world. Next, dive deeper into each area with advanced sub-learning paths. These include high-level LinkedIn courses from which you can understand how you can build that cross-cutting competence into your work area. This is accompanied by key UN materials, essential policies, strategies, and tools. Finally, the journey concludes with a curated collection of UNICEF’s most valuable learning resources.

The Innovation and Digital Transformation course delves into digital transformation in tourism, focusing on customer experience and operational efficiency. Participants will gain insights into digital technologies, innovation, and the steps necessary to drive transformation. A journey through key technologies, innovation, and case studies, this online course provides a comprehensive understanding of digital transformation. Students will engage in videos, readings, and assignments, preparing to implement effective digital strategies and build sustainable tourism ecosystems for long-term success.

UN Women AI School is a regional movement and learning programme that equips UN staff, policy makers, civil society, and young leaders to learn, build, and govern safe, gender-inclusive AI. Through a shared core curriculum on AI foundations, responsible use, and prompt craft—plus weekly Expert Talks and hands-on Innovation Labs—participants turn ideas into policy briefs, tools and datasets that serve communities across the region. As courts modernise procedures and information systems, AI tools are increasingly introduced to support judicial work, case management, evidence analysis and access to legal information. These technologies can strengthen efficiency, consistency and access to justice. Yet they also raise fundamental questions about fairness, due process, transparency, explainability, and accountability. The course will address the following questions, and many more: - How should judges assess algorithmic outputs presented in court? - What safeguards are needed to prevent bias or over-reliance on automated systems? - How can courts adopt innovation while preserving independence and public trust? Developed in partnership with UNESCO, this course provides a human rights-based framework for understanding AI’s impact on justice systems and safeguarding the rule of law.
